Case Studies

The Workforce Challenge Hub brings together a range of stories and learning from health and social care colleagues.  Our collection of case studies are from teams across the care system, from primary health to acute care, mental health, social care; and range from small team changes to whole system programmes of change.

These are stories of lived experience of workforce transformation, your colleagues achievements; how they did it, and describe the impact the changes have had on team members working lives; and ultimately, patient care. You can find more case studies in the HEE Roles Explorer at Future NHS

You can find a wide range of valuable materials on the Workforce Optimisation Network page. This platform offers a variety of resources, including guidance documents, toolkits, best practices, and peer support opportunities. These materials are designed to help you enhance workforce availability, drive digital transformation, support workforce redesign and skill mix, and improve the flow of care through system-engineered pathways. Explore these resources to support workforce growth, optimize workforce performance, and implement innovative approaches within your organization.

Do you have a transformation story about your workforce transformation that you’d like to share with other colleagues?  Have you changed how some of your team work?  Please send us details on contact us and we’ll share your story with others.
